After a night just south of Provo (about 400 miles from Dubois, Wyoming) to restock and prepare for the second half of the drive, we headed to Bear Valley RV Resort in Panguitch, Utah. It’s not really much of a resort with no pool or any amenities really, but it does have long lots so we don’t have to unhook the trailer, a store, a gas station, full hookups, is priced right , and has killer Internet. We picked this park because it was more or less centrally located in the middle of about five national parks here in Utah.
On our first “RV Adventures in Utah” outing, we rode the bikes to Bryce Canyon National Park, about 35 miles away and rode from lookout to lookout. Very picturesque. We had lunch at Ruby’s Inn and took a virtual flyover of southern Utah. Someone, I’m not naming names (MELINDA!), may have taken a FEW photos. Next week we may be headed to The Grand Staircase (Escalante).
RV On The Road Yet? is a blog dedicated to the journey one couple has taken on the road to living full time in a Recreational Vehicle. Please keep in mind that we are not RV experts (or lawyers or doctors). We are just a couple muddling our way through this RV thing like anyone else. With luck, we may share something that will save you time or money, or just make you smile. We are primarily doing this so Melinda can keep her 65 best friends informed on our full-time RV adventure exploits. Sometimes humorous and hopefully educational, we will relay the steps we have taken as we travel down the former path of frontiersmen, Gypsies, retired people, and idiots.
