Full time RV Adventures in Utah, Zion National Park

Zion National Park

This week’s adventure took us to Zion National Park. It was a great ride (about 200 miles round trip), but the photos don’t do the sights justice, by a long shot. If you get a chance, go see this. Be sure to get tickets for the shuttle a day early from the web site. One of the highlights of the ride was a loooong ride through a tunnel near Zion.

Long Horn Sheep at the side of the road.

Another great highlight was on the way back, we passed a herd of Long Horn Sheep right at the side of the road. The car in front of us wouldn’t get out of the way so our pictures were as good as they could be, but they were almost close enough to touch from the bike. We also passed a herd of buffalo, but as Melinda said, “That was sooo July.”

I have to admit that I did not want to come to Utah. Melinda was right. This is a very scenic state.

RV On The Road Yet? is a blog dedicated to the journey one couple has taken on the road to living full time in a Recreational Vehicle. Please keep in mind that we are not RV experts (or lawyers or doctors). We are just a couple muddling our way through this RV thing like anyone else. With luck, we may share something that will save you time or money, or just make you smile. We are primarily doing this so Melinda can keep her 65 best friends informed on our full-time RV adventure exploits. Sometimes humorous and hopefully educational, we will relay the steps we have taken as we travel down the former path of frontiersmen, Gypsies, retired people, and idiots.
