I have recently taken up oil painting. I took some classes here at the park and enjoy them enough to keep going. Who knows how long I’ll last (“Hey! Look at the bunny!”) but for now it’s a way to mindlessly burn some hours.

The Shadow – been watching a LOT of 1940’s serials lately, The Shadow, Sherlock Holmes, Green Hornet, etc. and this was inspired by the 1994 Alec Baldwin movie. This is a work in progress and not quite finished yet.
One of the nice things about the Encore Fun N Sun RV Park here in San Benito is all the activities provided. There is a computer room (for troubleshooting & classes), a couple of poker rooms, a quilting room (I have to practically tie Melinda down to not spend 24 hours a day there!), stained glass shop, woodshop, a 24/7 heated pool, a dance hall, a rec hall, largest indoor shuffleboard courts in the U.S., darts, pool tables, Ping-Pong (they hate it when you call it that – “Table Tennis, deary”), remote control race car tracks, a group that rides motorcycles 2-3 times per week, you name it!
