Melinda, Gizmo, Paul, & TJ at Hidden Cave in Horse Cave, KY

Part of Kentucky trip was a visit from our friend, TJ. We’ve known TJ for over 25 years and have been thrown out of some very nice places together. She witnessed our jail wedding and sang at our church wedding. But don’t blame her for either of them. TJ was born and raised in this neck of the woods (southern Kentucky) and has the drawl to prove it. She hung with us and toured Hidden Cave in Horse Cave, KY. She won her first game of Phase Ten and then two days later I took the title of “CHAMPEEN!” Mostly because she can’t figure out what an odd-numbered card is. She played with her sweetheart, Gizmo, and suddenly I am third in his list of people he likes. She made pumpkin bread cupcakes and we all went to the Metcalfe CountyPumpkin Festival, which is every bit as exciting as it sounds.

Everyone should have a friend like TJ. There are only so many definitions of the word ‘crazy’ and everyone needs a new one!
